The Pelham Arms is a beautiful grade II listed public house built in 1640, located in the heart of the historic town of Lewes, just minutes from the South Downs. A friendly relaxed atmostsphere will welcome you at The Pelham Arms, along with great cask ales, delicious wines and classic British pub food freshly prepared in our kitchens. MUSIC! We host a vibrant and popular World live music night every Thursday evening with music being played from 8.30pm to 10.30pm, full details can be viewed at www.myspace.com/thepelhamarms NEW! - Also every Sunday 4pm - 10pm throughout May we are pleased to have DJ T.A.S.K. playing a mellow mix of soul, funk, blues and reggae to help finish off your weekend with a smile. GETTING TO THE PELHAM! BY CAR - If travelling by car, Find us with google maps, we have a small car park at the rear of the building, otherwise out of office hours you can park at the council offices across the road. BY BUS - We have a bus stop right outside the pub (The Stop is call the Pelham Arms) Last buses to Uckfield/Tunbridge Wells/Brighton (Numbers 28/29/29A/29B) are just after 11pm and run regularly throughout the day so this is by far the best method of getting to us if you live out of town, click here for timetables. BY TRAIN - We are just a 10/15 minute walk from Lewes Train station. BY FOOT - The Pelham Arms is perfectly placed for visitors enjoying a day in Lewes snooping around shops, or for walkers exploring the South Downs and South Down Way. A favourite weekend walk of regulars is to catch the bus to Ditchling Beacon (Number 79) and walk over the Downs via Black Cap to Lewes, come in for lunch/supper and catch the bus back to Brighton from outside the pub.
